When the weather turns nasty it’s human nature to go seeking something warming and comforting which makes this recipe for baked apple rollups the perfect remedy. This is a super quick and simple recipe that can be made in 20 mins and delivers everything you want from comfort food.
Don’t worry if you’re not much of a baker, this recipe calls for premade tortillas and store-bought apple filling. Of course, if you feel up to the challenge it’s easy to make your own pie filling, apples are peeled and sliced and simply added to a pan with a bit of water, sugar and cinnamon
If you are not a big fan of apples then why not use an alternative filling for these rollups? Any sort of fruit makes for a delicious treat so why not try pear, berries, gooseberries, peach or even make a version of banoffee!
Feel free to top your apple rollups off with custard, cream or your favourite ice cream!
Ingredients:
- Street Taco Sized Tortillas
- 1 Can/ Jar Apple Pie Filling
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon on Ground Cinnamon
- Cooking Spray
- Tooth Picks
Method:
Preheat oven to 175°C.
Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface and spoon the apple pie filling into the center of each tortilla.
Roll up the stuffed tortilla like a taco and pin together with a toothpick,
Place on a baking pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
While baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
Remove the apple rollups from the oven.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture onto the rollups.
Serve & enjoy.
