Review: Natural Skincare from Tea & Tonic

Today I am going to tell you a little bit about Tea & Tonic, a 100% natural skincare and wellness brand that helps you to discover the secrets to your brightest skin and self. They contacted me recently offering me the chance to try a couple of their products. Tea & Tonic describe themselves as the location for luxury beauty products with an array of exceptional and beautiful ingredients all sustainably sourced.

Tea & Tonic mindfully and meticulously create extraordinary blends which are cruelty-free and the majority of their products are vegan, which is a huge plus for me. Their approach to skincare and wellness is one that I really love, they aim to be the best they can, to continually improve, being honest and transparent at every step.

The environment is a huge consideration for Tea & Tonic, they source with sustainability in mind from quality, freshness and mileage to the environmental production methods required, using British-grown active botanicals sourced only from sustainable growers.

Tea & Tonic like to avoid mass production and create their products meticulously by hand using traditional methods. This may take longer but produces an exceptional end result with their range being free from:

Synthetics
Silicones, Petroleum or Mineral Oils
Sulphates (i.e. SLS / SLES)
Parabens
PEG (i.e. Polyethylene Glycol, Polysorbate)
Phenoxyethanol
Phthalates

Organic Hemp Cleansing Cloths

It might sound silly but, in my vast collection of skincare products, you will find only a couple of flannels or face cloths. I don’t know why, but it’s one of those things I hardly ever remember to buy and I always end up needing one as part of my skincare routine to remove face masks etc.

When I spotted these organic help cleansing cloths on the Tea & Tonic website I knew this was a great opportunity to add them to my routine. I chose the 2 pack of cloths to try and they are made up of 55% Organic Hemp, 45% Organic Cotton and are handmade in the UK.

They are fine baby soft cleansing cloth that dries quickly and work great in combination with their cleansing balm for optimal results. First, massage cleansing balm across face, neck and décolleté and then moisten the cleansing cloth with warm water to then remove make up and clear the skin. The cloths are machine washable at 30 degrees and air dry.

I have found that the cloths are great for removing make up as well as being used in my skincare routine. They are very soft and leave my skin feeling clean but not sore like some rougher fabrics can.

Wild Meadow Herb Oil

My skin is sensitive and can be dry. I recently started using oils to help lock in moisture and keep my face from feeling tight and uncomfortable, so when I spotted the wild meadow herb oil from Tea & Tonic I knew I had to try it. It is described as being a treatment oil infusion to improve skin clarity and softness notably for blemishes or breakouts.

The oil has a really amazing fragrance, almost like you’re standing in the middle of a wild herb meadow. I really love it! It’s super easy to use, just apply to face or body as a cleansing oil or moisturiser. As well as a lovely scent the oil has a satisfying viscosity which means it doesn’t just slide right off the skin.

The ingredients include: Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Red Clover) Leaf Extract, Viola Odorata (Sweet Violet) Leaf Extract, Calendula Officinalis (Marigold) Flower Oil. The Crambe Abyssinian are all grown as part of the Bee Friendly project / RHS Plants for Pollinators which help local ecosystems by supporting a healthy Bee population.
