Sparkling Apple Whiskey Cocktail

This is the perfect time of the year to celebrate Apples. If you haven’t already gone apple picking then what’s wrong with you? Get out there and give it ago! I have a pile of delicious local apples sitting in my kitchen just waiting for me to take a bite.

There are so many ways to use apples, which are at their best at this time of year. They are particularly fantastic in baked goods; think apple pies, apple muffins and apple tarts. I am always partial to a good toffee apple, particularly around Bonfire Night!

If you prefer to have your apple flavour in a different way, why not try mixing up one of these delicious sparkling apple whisky cocktails? This is a bubbly, satisfyingly sweet tipple that has a bit of a kick thanks to a shot (or two, there’s no judgement here) of apple whiskey.

There are many different apple whiskies available; from Jack Daniels Tennessee Apple to Jim Beam Apple, Bird Dog Apple, Rattlesnake Rosie’s Apple Pie, Iron Smole Applewood Smoked and J. Seeds Apple Cider Whiskey. In this version, I used Crown Royal Regal Apple which is a Canadian Whisky with notes of crisp apple flavour.

This recipe is super simple and quick to make. Although here it is served cold, I think it would make for a lovely warmed cider on particularly cold nights, too! Give it a go!

Ingredients

Sparkling Apple Cider (sparkling apple juice to us Brits).
Your choice of Apple Whiskey
A sprig of fresh Rosemary
Apple Slices (use local apples where you can!)

Method:

Pour a shot of apple whiskey into a tall glass.

Top with sparkling apple cider.

Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and an apple slice.

Enjoy!
